According to an update from the Greek Embassy in Bucharest, a tourist bus accident involving 47 Greek passengers and a Greek driver occurred in the Romanian capital today.
According to the Emergency Department of the Romanian Ministry of Interior, twenty-four (24) of the passengers were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and potential first-aid treatment.
Three (3) of the above are in serious condition.
Unfortunately, one (1) of the bus passengers died.
The remaining passengers have been transferred to a hotel.
A team from the Greek Embassy in Bucharest immediately rushed to the scene of the incident and then to the hospitals where the above-mentioned Greek citizens are being treated.
Furthermore, Embassy officials remain at the hospitals to provide all necessary assistance to the injured.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
