Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the passing of James Crawford, Judge of the International Court of Justice

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sadness at the loss of the distinguished Australian expert in International Law, Professor at the University of Cambridge and Judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, James Crawford. The deceased was a prominent member of the United Nations International Law Commission, an active author, and prior to his election as a Judge, he was a legal counsel of many States, including our country, before the aforementioned Court or other international judicial bodies. We express our sincere condolences to his family.
