Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will travel to Turin, Italy, to participate, tomorrow, Friday, May 20, 2022, in the 132nd Ministerial Meeting of the member states of the Council of Europe, within the framework of the six-month Italian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers.
The agenda of the meeting includes, among other things, the stance and role of the Council of Europe towards the Russian invasion of Ukraine, institutional issues, as well as the report on the work of the outgoing Italian Presidency. On the same day, the handover ceremony of the rotating Presidency of the Committee of Ministers from Italy to Ireland will take place. The priorities of the Irish Presidency will then be outlined.
