ADDIS ABABA — A major symposium examining Ethiopia’s economic, social, and political trajectory over the past 50 years commenced today in Addis Ababa. Organized by Addis Ababa University, the event has drawn scholars from diverse disciplines to discuss the nation’s historical challenges and future opportunities.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the symposium aims to spur academic contributions to national policy making. Past forums have tackled issues ranging from national dialogue and maritime access to the historical significance of the Battle of Adwa on Ethiopia’s development.
