ADDIS ABABA — A digital telethon aimed at raising 50 million Birr for the Clean Ethiopia campaign will take place this Sunday, as announced by the Office of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the telethon which will span ten hours, seeks to gather both monetary and in-kind contributions to support the construction of modern and hygienic public restrooms across Ethiopia. Launched on April 28, 2024, the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving sanitation and public health through community-involved infrastructure projects.
