We can do without French aid without flinching”, minister

The suspension of French aid to Burkina Faso is a non-event, because the country can do without it without flinching, said government spokesman Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.

In his opinion, this help is sometimes similar to giving with one hand to recover the triple or quadruple with another hand.

According to Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo who spoke on Sunday evening on Burkina national television, after 63 years of aid without any real effect, the Burkinabè Nation must assume responsibility.

He then hailed the admirable mobilization of the Burkinabè around the war effort.
