Nairobi Remains Peaceful Despite Ant-Gov’t Demos

There was relative calm in the streets of Nairobi on the day opposition leaders called protests demanding the lowering of the cost of living, opening of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers and cancellation of requirement of IEBC commissioners. Most businesses were open in the CBD with Police Officers manning strategic places and few others patrolling on foot or in vehicles. In Matatu termini it was business as usual.
