Four suspects swiftly arrested for murder of a Musgrave woman
The eThekwini District Trio Task Team, working together with the police in Berea, Crime Intelligence officers in Durban and private security companies have arrested four suspects, in less than 24 hours after they stabbed and killed a 66-year-old woman at her flat in Musgrave on Monday morning, 02 October 2023.
The intelligence-led manhunt directed the law enforcement officers to KwaMakhutha where the four suspects were arrested. The vehicle which was used in the commission of the crime was also recovered and seized. Police also found blood-stained clothes in possession of the suspects.
The suspects, aged between 21 and 36 years old, appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 05 October 2023 and were remanded in custody. They will be in the dock again on 12 October 2023 in the Durban High Court where they are expected to submit a formal bid for bail.
