Ouagadougou – In a significant recognition of dedication and excellence, 171 agents in the fields of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism were honored in Ouagadougou on Thursday. This event, organized by the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism in collaboration with the Grand Chancellery, is part of an annual tradition that coincides with Burkina Faso’s Independence Day.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony is a long-standing practice wherein each ministerial department acknowledges its most dedicated agents. Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism, highlighted the necessity of hardworking, honest, and competent agents to address the developmental challenges facing Burkina Faso.

Minister Ouédraogo announced that this year’s honorees included 14 actors in the order of merit, 12 in the order of the Stallion, and 146, including one posthumously, in the specific order of arts, letters, and communication, totaling 172 recipients. He commended the awardees for their dedication and urged all workers and partners of the ministry to continue their efforts.

Emphasizing the importance of these distinctions, Minister Ouédraogo noted the current challenges in Burkina Faso, particularly in the communication sector’s role in supporting efforts to reclaim the nation’s territories.

Among the distinguished recipients, Aimé Mouorissing Kambiré, Director of the Burkina information agency, expressed his joy and saw the honor as an encouragement to continue contributing to the nation’s development.
