Rollout of vaccines to the education sector

Tomorrow, the Head of Education in the Province, Brent Walters will be joining union representatives, principal association members, teachers and public service staff to launch the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine to the education sector.

Initially, the launch was to take place on Friday, 23 June 2021, however, the Provincial Department of Health have informed us that they are ready to administer vaccines from tomorrow afternoon at a metro vaccination site. The rural sites will follow from 25 June 2021, as planned.

Western Cape Education Minister, Debbie Schäfer, will also be in attendance.
