Two Arrested in Free State for Possession of Stolen Vehicles

Free State, South Africa – In Parys, Free State, two suspects, aged 41 and 30, have been arrested for possession of stolen vehicles. The arrests occurred early on Friday, 17 November 2023, after Fezile Dabi District Highway Patrol members received a tip-off about two vehicles stolen in Bothaville and headed towards Parys.

According to South African Police Service, The police officers followed the lead, eventually spotting the vehicles in Parys. When the suspects realized they were being pursued, they abandoned the vehicles and fled on foot. However, the police managed to apprehend two of the suspects, while a third remains at large.

Three vehicles were confiscated during the operation, two of which had been reported stolen in Bothaville, and the third vehicle was believed to have been used in the commission of the crime. The arrested suspects are scheduled to appear before the Parys Magistrate Court on Monday, 20 November 2023.
