ADDIS ABABA – The 5th Regional Ministerial Forum on Migration concluded on Thursday, emphasizing the critical need for policy initiatives focused on youth employment, skills development, and job creation, along with efforts to harmonize regulatory frameworks for regular migration.



According to Ethiopian News Agency, the forum has become an essential platform for addressing labor migration through collaboration and consultation. He highlighted the role of education in combating irregular migration and its significance in fostering skill-based, dignified, and regular labor mobility regionally and globally. The forum’s theme underscores the challenge and opportunity presented by Africa’s rapidly growing youth population, aiming to leverage this demographic shift towards achieving sustainable development across the continent.
