Zorgho — On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the premises of the high commission and the urban Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) in Zorgho were cleaned by active forces in the Ganzourgou province.
According to a new release by Burkina Information Agency, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, the sanitation initiative was part of the 20th National Citizenship Week (SENAC), which runs from October 23 to 27, 2023.
The government had planned this special day of sanitation, termed “operation clean city,” to be held on October 26 across the entire national territory. Responding to the call of the High Commissioner, active forces in the province assembled to execute the cleanup.
Two key sites were chosen for the operation: the high commission and the urban CSPS of Zorgho. Armed with dabas, rakes, brooms, and other cleaning equipment, the participants focused on removing grass, dead leaves, plastic bags, and other debris that had accumulated at these locations.
High Commissioner Aminata Sorgho/Gouba expressed gratitude for the robust turnout and urged everyone to maintain clean surroundings as a preventive measure against diseases.
