Zons© Teachers Explore Burkinab¨ Heritage Through Educational Outing

Boulgou: Teachers from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Zons© carried out an educational and tourist outing on Saturday to Po and Ti©b©l©, in the Centre-South region, in order to discover two important sites of Burkinab¨ cultural heritage: the Pic de Nahouri and the royal court of Ti©b©l©. Initiated by Inspector Dieudonn© Zinsoni, this activity mobilized 26 teachers around the promotion of national heritage and the strengthening of teaching practices.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this immersion aimed to bring theoretical teachings closer to the historical and cultural realities of Burkina Faso, with the goal of making learning more concrete and more vivid for students. The head of the Zons© Basic Education District, Tobour© Yigo, accompanied the participants throughout the excursion. A former officer who served in Po, he shared historical, cultural, and touristic information about the various sites visited with his colleagues.

At Pic de Nahouri, the teachers discovered a natural landscape offering a panoramic view of the city of Po and its surroundings. The visit then continued to the royal court of Ti©b©l©, renowned for its traditional Kassena architecture and ancestral wall decorations. Participants praised an enriching initiative that allowed them to deepen their knowledge of national history while strengthening bonds of fraternity and collaboration among colleagues.

At the end of the outing, the CEB supervisors and the CCEB congratulated the teachers for their commitment and encouraged them to multiply this type of educational and cultural activity through the discovery of other historical and tourist sites in the country. This experience reflects the desire of educational stakeholders in Zons© to promote teaching based on both theoretical knowledge and the practical realities of national heritage.
