Zons Records 40.15% Pass Rate in 2026 BEPC Exams

Zons: The results of the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) exam for the 2026 session are now available in the municipality of Zons. The four schools that presented candidates for this exam recorded a total of 53 successful candidates out of 132, representing a municipal pass rate of 40.15%.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Zons Departmental High School presented 60 candidates. Of these, 24 students were admitted in the first round. No candidates were admitted in the second round, leaving a total of 24 admitted out of 60 candidates.

At the CEG in Zons, 32 candidates took part in the exam. The school recorded 8 successful candidates in the first round and 6 in the second round, for a total of 14 successful candidates out of 32.

The CEG of Kourga, for its part, presented 24 candidates and obtained 8 admissions in total. As for the CEG of Ponga, it recorded 7 successful candidates out of 16 candidates presented.

In its first participation in the BEPC, the Ponga CEG achieved a pass rate of 43.75%. Its principal, Ped-Weind Bamogo, indicated that he was not entirely satisfied with these results. According to him, the performance fell short of the teaching staff's expectations, considering the efforts made throughout the school year.

Mr. Bamogo emphasized the need for students to strengthen their commitment to their studies and to adopt more rigor in their personal work in order to improve results in the next sessions.

Despite this municipal rate of 40.15%, the educational officials of the municipality congratulated the successful candidates and reaffirmed their commitment to continue educational support activities in order to improve academic performance.
