Zondoma: The educational community of the commune of Tougo appointed the members of the executive board of the communal committee of the school council, under the leadership of Lassane Ouedraogo, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the establishment of school councils in all educational structures in the municipality led stakeholders to convene in the Tougo town hall reception hall for this significant appointment. The general assembly of school council presidents, chaired by the 2nd Vice-President of the Special Delegation, Boureima Gansonre, selected the members of the committee office, which will operate under the guidance of Lassane Ouedraogo.
In line with the established guidelines, the municipal committee consists of an executive office, a control committee, and observer members. The committee's responsibilities include coordinating the mobilization of partners to support school councils, encouraging parental and community participation in school activities, and promoting and sharing successful practices of school councils.
During his address, the newly appointed president urged his colleagues to collaborate extensively to meet their objectives. He emphasized, "I am not president without you. I therefore urge you to work together for the success of our mission. It is through transparency and communication that we can earn everyone's trust and work effectively."
The creation of these school councils, along with municipal, provincial, and regional committees across the nation, signals the conclusion of the Management Committees (COGES) and Parents' Associations (APE).
