Gourcy: The second edition of Burkina Faso’s national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation was officially launched on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Gourcy, Zondoma province. The event, chaired by Secretary General Anatole P. Kaboré, brought together the province’s key stakeholders and students.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the event commenced with the raising of the national flag, followed by a reading of a message from President Ibrahim Traoré. The president’s message urged Burkinabè citizens to remain vigilant and to demonstrate patriotism in their daily lives. Kaboré reiterated the need for continued civic engagement, calling on the population to support activities like the flag-raising ceremony, which will rotate among public institutions in Gourcy.



The national days of patriotic commitment, running from October 2 to 16, aim to foster a sense of national unity and civic responsibility across the country.
