Zondoma/Gourcy Municipality: 38 Vulnerable Households Provided with Food

Zondoma: A total of 38 vulnerable households in the municipality of Gourcy received food aid from the special delegation on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Gourcy town hall. In total, 17 families of VDP who fell on the front, 11 IDP households, and 10 vulnerable host households were the beneficiaries of food distributed under the chairmanship of the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Gourcy, Bosso To Kaba Tr.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this food aid, consisting of 2.75 tons of corn, was provided using municipal funds to help families in need. This act of solidarity was welcomed by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude to the community leaders for this noble initiative.

The food distribution ceremony took place in the presence of the Provincial Coordinator of the VDP, Police Lieutenant Pierre Sawadogo, who, in turn, praised the municipality's vision and expressed his hope that other well-intentioned people would follow suit.

A few days ago, widows of VDP members from the province received food supplies at the provincial police headquarters in Zondoma from local sons.
