The meeting, which took place at the premises of the Radio ‘Unité FM’, allowed the representative of the media regularization body to interact with managers, journalists, radio presenters and technicians, correspondents from the written press. and online.

The discussions focused on the instruments initiated by the CSC, in particular the charter of good conduct for confessional media, the guide to the management of media content of a confessional nature, the seven points of attention intended fo
r media actors for better consideration of the social responsibility of the media in a context of security crisis, social tensions and political transition.

Mr. Nikièma took the opportunity to share with media players the ten tips for citizens for responsible behavior on social networks and interactive broadcasts.

‘The press has an important role to play in the return of peace and the strengthening of social cohesion, particularly in the current context of our country,’ recalled Mr. Nikièma.

He invited journalists to favor information that ‘constructs’ while banning the dissemination of messages likely to sow division and disrupt cohesion between communities.

Finally, the representative of the CSC congratulated the Zondoma media for their professionalism which, according to him, they must preserve and strengthen at all costs.

Before retiring, Bertin Philibert Nikièma gave each press organ a copy of the four documents.

Through the voice of the dean of media men in the province, Lébyiri Sawadogo, of Radio
‘Savane fm’, the media men of Zondoma thanked the CSC for its permanent support.

The media men made a commitment to continue their mission in compliance with the principles and regulations in force by taking into account the advice and recommendations through the instruments made available to them by the CSC, which they promised to promote.
