Zondoma Celebrates Achievements of Education Stakeholders with Excellence Awards

Education: The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Zondoma organized a day of excellence, awarding stakeholders for their performances in the June 2025 exams.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 2025 edition of the Excellence Awards in Zondoma Province was held under the theme "Keeping the Flame of Knowledge Alive Despite Challenges: Excellence as a Driver of Stability." Over 90 prizes, including a motorcycle, laptops, tablets, bicycles, school kits, office supplies, and kitchen utensils, were awarded to individuals and educational institutions for their outstanding work.

The award for best teacher was given to Bata Romba from the Gourcy Sector 2 school, which achieved a 100% pass rate with 75 students. She received a motorcycle, a tablet, and 10,000 CFA francs. Watti Dj©lika Kabor© from Saint-Joseph B School, who ranked first in the province on the CEP exam with 158.5 out of 170 points, received a bicycle and a school supply kit. The Gourcy 2 CEB (Basic Education Center) was awarded a laptop computer and a letter of congratulations for a 93.90% pass rate on the CEP exam.

The best school in the province, located in Sector 2, received school supplies and a letter of commendation. The best teachers and students from each of the province's six basic education districts were also recognized. Provincial Director of Education, Karim Sawadogo, emphasized that the celebration was about "a reflection of personal discipline, resilience in the face of obstacles, and a constant pursuit of self-improvement."

Sawadogo expressed gratitude to the province's stakeholders whose achievements have resonated regionally and nationally. He congratulated and encouraged all those involved. In 2025, the Zondoma provincial education authority achieved a 93.69% pass rate on the CEP (Certificate of Primary Education); 100% for entry into sixth grade; 90.90% on the Non-Formal Examination; and over 99% on vocational examinations.

High Commissioner of the Zondoma province, Aboubacar Sidiki Nab©, who presided over the ceremony, praised the performance. He encouraged participants to continue striving for excellence despite challenges. "May this recognition be an encouragement to you to continue your noble mission and a call to always aim higher, to innovate further, and to love even more deeply this profession that builds nations," he reminded them.

In the presence of key stakeholders and distinguished guests, education leaders reaffirmed their commitment to aim for zero failures in the 2026 CEP.
