Zogor©: The students of the "Zogor© B" Public Primary School have embraced a shift towards cultural identity by adopting the kooko-donda, a green fabric speckled with white, as their official school uniform. This change was observed firsthand in the schoolyard.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative is part of a broader effort to instill patriotism and cultural pride among students. The teaching staff, alongside the parents, guided by the school director Ou©draogo Fatimata/Tirouda, endorsed the traditional kooko-donda outfit to align with national values.
The decision was reached following informative sessions conducted by educators and the school council. These sessions aimed to encourage parents to foster a spirit of patriotism by outfitting students in the new uniform, contributing to the vision of a renewed Burkina Faso.
The teaching staff acknowledged the determination and support of the parents, who have shown resilience in the face of significant security issues and other challenges impacting the community.
