Ziro: The Sapouy Health District celebrated, on April 29 and 30, 2025, the 6th edition of the Health Excellence Day, a now emblematic event for the promotion of the efforts of Ziro health workers. Held under the theme “Patriotic Commitment to Excellence in the Health Sector,” the event highlighted performance, cohesion, and merit within the local health sector.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, chaired by the High Commissioner of Ziro, Saba Zorom©, and sponsored by the chief of Bougagnonon, was marked by a raising of the colors, a sanitation operation, screening sessions (cervical cancer, mammography, hepatitis), a popular cross-country race, and an aerobics session. These activities brought together caregivers, authorities, and the population in a civic and sporting atmosphere.

On April 30, at the Recognition Square, exemplary health workers and structures were honored, including the CSPS of Kondui, named best CSPS, best in malaria elimination and the Expanded Program on Immunization, and second in reproductive health. Four Special Delegation Presidents (Bakata, Bougnounou, Cassou, Gao) and the Secretary General of Ziro, Adams Davou, also received certificates of recognition, symbols of a collective commitment to community health.

The awards were accompanied by cash and in-kind rewards, in a spirit of emulation and motivation. The festivities continued with a football match and a recreational evening, strengthening ties between healthcare stakeholders and anchoring healthcare excellence in the local sociocultural fabric. The Sapouy Health District, already a winner of the 4th national prize for the fight against malaria, intends to consolidate a lasting dynamic in the improvement of the health system, based on the recognition, motivation, and cohesion of professionals serving the population.
