According to Burkina Information Agency, participants equipped with brooms, rakes, and other sanitation equipment undertook the task of cleaning the police station premises, contributing to improved working conditions for security forces and promoting a healthy environment.
The organizers stated that the activity aims to reinforce civic-mindedness and patriotism among the population while supporting public services in their daily missions. It also promotes hygiene and sanitation as essential drivers of collective well-being.
N©youa Tagnan, president of the Sapouy Citizen Watch, praised the participants’ mobilization and reiterated the initiative’s purpose. “This cleanup day reflects our commitment to supporting the authorities and the defense and security forces. It is also a way to show that every citizen can contribute, at their own level, to the development of our community,” he stated.
The central police commissioner of Sapouy expressed gratitude to the organizers and participants. “We welcome this initiative, which strengthens the bonds between the police and the public. A clean working environment is essential for the greater efficiency of our services,” he stated.
Additionally, the citizen watch group visited the environmental department the previous day to express support for its efforts to preserve natural resources and promote a healthy living environment. This gesture aligns with its ongoing commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.
