Ziniar©: The PDS Warns Against Land Subdivision and Sales Operations

Ziniar©: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Ziniar© warned on Wednesday against the illegal practices of subdividing and selling plots in his locality. In a statement published on March 10, 2026, on the town hall's Facebook page, the municipal authority reminds everyone that any land subdivision operation carried out by individuals or groups outside the legal framework is strictly prohibited.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the suspension of private housing developments has been in effect in Burkina Faso since November 2014. This measure was reinforced by decrees adopted in 2015 and consolidated by the law on real estate development adopted in 2023, which regulates activities related to land. Therefore, any land subdivision operation without prior authorization from the relevant state authorities is deemed illegal. Similarly, the sale of plots resulting from unauthorized private subdivisions is considered null and void and exposes those responsible to legal prosecution.

The town hall also warns that purchasers of these plots risk financial losses and the impossibility of having their property rights recognized. The municipal administration reminds everyone that only authorized public bodies are competent to conduct subdivision operations in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The president of the special delegation, Tingani Florent T. Dabon©, also invites the population to be vigilant and to report any attempt at subdivision or fraudulent sale to the municipal services or the security forces.
