Luena: The Ambassador of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Thando Madzvamuse, visited the Moxico Higher Polytechnic Institute, expressing a keen interest in enhancing the higher education sector and forging new partnerships between Zimbabwe and Angola. The visit is part of a four-day working agenda in Moxico.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Ambassador articulated a desire to initiate exchange programs for both students and teachers, alongside developing joint curricula and collaborative projects. Madzvamuse emphasized the significance of strengthening technical and vocational training initiatives in Moxico, highlighting the collaborative potential between the educational institutions of Zimbabwe and Angola.

The visit reinforced Zimbabwe's commitment to strengthening ties with Angola, particularly in the education sector, thus paving the way for new opportunities in bilateral cooperation. On the second day of his agenda, the ambassador explored the Monument to Peace Tourist Complex, a key landmark symbolizing Angola's peace and reconciliation since April 4, 2002.

The delegation's itinerary includes a visit to the Camaiangala Farm, the largest agro-industrial farm in the region, and the Luena Photovoltaic Park, both of which are significant local development projects. Additionally, a working meeting is planned to draft a twinning agreement between Moxico and a Zimbabwean province.

Thando Madzvamuse will also tour the Mass Grave in the village of Boma and the T Mariz Lucusse Farm. Before returning to Luanda on Monday, he is scheduled to meet with the Zimbabwean community residing in Moxico.
