Zekuy-Doumbala Parish Celebrates Christmas with Prayers for Peace and Unity

Koosin: The parish of Zekuy-Doumbala celebrated the Feast of the Nativity on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, with joy and fervor. Christians prayed for peace, security, love of neighbor, and fraternity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the parish priest of Zekuy-Doumbala, Father Paul Yadia, delivered a lengthy sermon on the intrinsic qualities of humankind. Pastor Simeon Dakuyo, for his part, focused his message on the actions an individual should take in society and those to avoid. "A person is recognized by the good deeds they perform," he said.

In the churches, the congregation's attention was fully captivated by the nourishing words of God delivered by the liturgical leaders. At the end of the services, the faithful were asked to celebrate in peace and love and to avoid any actions that might disrupt the atmosphere. New Year's greetings were exchanged.
