Nahouri: The customs services of Zecco, in the province of Nahouri, handed over this Monday, December 2, 2024, 350 liters of seized alcohol to six health facilities in the municipalities of Zecco and Ziou. The two presidents of the special delegations of the said municipalities received the donation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Zecco customs office in Nahouri province organized the handover of the alcohol in Guelwongo. The consignment, seized during routine operations, was intended for medical use in local health facilities. Customs inspector Adolphe Gouba explained that these products are vital for infection control and neonatal care.

“This is why we decided to hand them over to the CSPS through the presidents of the special delegations because leaving this product for consumption by the population will cause them health problems,” said Mr. Gouba. He acknowledged the communal support in facilitating customs operations.

Etienne Sanglan, President of the special delegation of Zecco, expres
sed gratitude for the donation, noting its significance in aiding health services. He commended the security forces for their dedication to maintaining border security.

The donation, divided among six health facilities, was received by the head nurses of Guelwongo and Zecco. They assured the alcohol would be used responsibly for medical purposes only.
