Zambo/Raising of the Colors: The Civil Society Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Nation

Zambo: The town hall of the commune of Zambo hosted on Thursday, March 6, the monthly ceremony of raising the national colors presided over by the President of the special delegation (PDS), Tassere Badini. This ceremony saw a strong mobilization of administrative authorities, defense and security forces (FDS), and local civil society. Singing the Ditany¨ in unison, the participants raised the national flag. In doing so, they reaffirmed their pride and commitment to the nation's ideals and respect for its institutions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on this occasion, the PDS, Tassere Badini, reminded the sons and daughters of Zambo of the need to become more involved in the development of their community. "Citizen participation must be demonstrated, in particular, through engagement in community activities, the payment of taxes and fees, environmental protection, and the fight against incivility and all practices detrimental to the collective well-being," he explained.

Mr. Badini also urged taxpayers in the municipality to pay their taxes by March 31, 2026. He also praised the efforts of the highest authorities in the country regarding administrative reforms such as the adoption of Law No. 024/ALT on the General Code of Territorial Authorities and the law relating to traditional chieftaincy.

According to him, these reforms should inject new dynamism into institutional governance and local development. "I hope that this flag-raising ceremony will rekindle the flame of patriotism in every citizen and strengthen the collective commitment to a strong, united, and prosperous Burkina Faso," he concluded.
