Ouagadougou: Students Noëlla and Toussiane Zabré, who donated 32,500 CFA francs last April to the peace effort, shared a community meal this Sunday with war wounded at the General Aboubacar Sangoulé Lamizana camp, AIB noted.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Zabré Amazons, led by Noëlla and Toussiane Zabré, organized a meal-sharing event aimed at supporting wounded soldiers. Noëlla Zabré emphasized the importance of contributions from all citizens, including children, in the fight against terrorism. “The Nation needs everyone, adults but also children like us, to contribute to putting an end to terrorism,” she stated, highlighting their commitment to supporting soldiers in their mission to reclaim national territory.

Miss Zabré further explained that the event served as a call for a general patriotic surge amongst the citizens. The meal kits, which included juice, were distributed to the soldiers as a gesture of appreciation for their sacrifices in defending the country. The Zabré Amazons, beyond
organizing this meal, are involved in various initiatives including food assistance, educational support, and promoting access to social services.

The foundation’s efforts extend to engaging with the realities faced by the country’s defense forces, as evidenced by their participation in an immersion program at the VDP training center in Badnoogo. This initiative allows them to better understand the challenges faced by these brave fighters and reinforce their support.

Noëlla and Toussiane Zabré, who also run N and T Candys-a business selling sweets in schools-dedicated 30% of their profits to the peace effort earlier this year, amounting to 32,500 CFA francs. This gesture underscores their commitment to contributing to national peace and stability.
