Zoundw©ogo: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Gogo Commune, Issa Tiendrebeogo, presented the Youth Promotion and Professional Integration Service (SPIPJ) on Tuesday in the town hall's reception hall. This service provides reception, support, and guidance to strengthen employability in rural areas. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Secretary General of the town hall, Karim Dao.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General introduced the two staff members assigned to the municipality to run the service: Education Officer Ali Gansor© and Paul Kabor©, a certified primary school teacher.
In his address, the President of the Special Delegation invited young people to support the staff in carrying out their mission. He reminded them that this service was created to support and guide young people toward concrete opportunities for professional integration, urging them to use it regularly. He also reaffirmed the Special Delegation's commitment to working to improve the employability of young people in the municipality.
Speaking next, Mr. Gansor© presented the objectives of the SPIPJ (Professional Integration and Employment Service), which include establishing a guidance system for the professional integration of young people living in rural areas, facilitating young people's access to information on socioeconomic opportunities, providing local support services, and promoting the appropriation by local authorities of the transferred powers in the areas of youth, employment, vocational training, and sports.
For his part, Mr. Kabor© detailed the responsibilities of the Employment Opportunity Coordinator (ROPI), which include identifying young people and their specific needs, compiling a list of opportunities dedicated to young people, mobilizing young people around community service projects, advocating with the municipal administration for the inclusion of youth needs in the municipal budget, identifying projects, programs, and technical and financial partners involved in professional integration, guiding young people toward technical and vocational training, strengthening life skills, assisting young people with job search techniques, promoting an entrepreneurial culture, supporting youth organizations, monitoring and evaluating young people's career paths, and promoting sports participation and guiding young people toward careers and employment opportunities in this field.
At the end of the meeting, the young people expressed their satisfaction with the implementation of this service within the town hall, which they consider a major opportunity for their professional future.
