Ziniaré: The Minister of Youth for Niger, Colonel Major Abdourahamane Amadou, has called on the young people of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) to take responsibility for their future by actively participating in the socio-economic development of their countries. His remarks were made at the first summer university of the AES, held in Ziniaré, around 30 kilometers north of Ouagadougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the youth represent a significant portion of the population in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, and their involvement in economic and social activities is essential to the region’s recovery. He emphasized that the three AES heads of state are fully committed to supporting the youth and ensuring they have the necessary resources to contribute to a stable and prosperous sub-region.
The event, which brought together 251 youth leaders from the three Sahelian states, aimed to foster discussions on governance, economic development, and the role of youth in peacebuilding. The recommendations from the event will be submitted to the heads of state for consideration.
