Young People in Gogo Contribute to “One Village, One Motorcycle” Initiative

Gogo: The President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Gogo, Issa Tiendrebeogo, received a delegation of young people engaged in different sectors within the framework of the "One village, one motorcycle" initiative aimed at supporting the FDS and the VDP.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation was led by Nestor Dipama, a certified secondary school teacher and native of the Gogo commune. Mr. Dipama emphasized the importance of collective efforts in combating insecurity, particularly terrorism, in Burkina Faso. He highlighted that young people from the area, along with former students and friends of the commune, had come together to provide a financial contribution of 500,000 CFA francs in response to the call from local authorities.

Mr. Dipama further assured the municipal authorities of the delegation's ongoing commitment to supporting development initiatives in the commune. In response, Issa Tiendrebeogo expressed gratitude and appreciation for the delegation's patriotic efforts and encouraged other socio-professional groups in the commune to engage in making the "One Village, One Motorcycle" initiative a collective achievement.

The "One village, one motorcycle" initiative is designed to enhance the mobility and operational capacity of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) to maintain security vigilance.
