Yatenyoua Lucien Ouoba Appointed as New Provincial Education Director in Komondjari

GayÉri: Yatenyoua Lucien Ouoba has officially assumed the role of Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education in Komondjari, succeeding Boureima Sawadogo, who led the department for over eight years. The installation ceremony was overseen by the Secretary General of Komondjari province at the Regional Directorate’s amphitheater.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the outgoing director, Mr. Boureima Sawadogo, presented an overview of his tenure, highlighting achievements such as maintaining educational continuity amid security challenges, skill enhancement for teachers and staff, and promoting social dialogue through provincial excellence days. He also noted the provision of essential equipment for vocational training and the upkeep of educational infrastructure.

Sawadogo outlined ongoing challenges, including the need to bolster stakeholder resilience, improve safety and mobility, ensure educational access, and support displaced students. He emphasized the importance of reopenin
g schools in high-risk areas and expanding preschool facilities.

The incoming director, Mr. Yatenyoua Lucien Ouoba, commended his predecessor’s efforts and vowed to build on these successes. He expressed his commitment to addressing the outlined challenges and was formally installed by the Secretary General. The Regional Director provided guidance to Ouoba and extended best wishes to Sawadogo for his retirement.
