Yatenga: The office of the School Council of the departmental high school of S©gu©n©ga held its ordinary general assembly on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and made its quarterly report, AIB noted. The meeting, chaired by the head of the board, Bassirou Guiro, brought together opinion leaders and key stakeholders in the community. Participants were encouraged to maintain a collective momentum to ensure better results throughout the remainder of the school year and enhance the high school's reputation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the agenda for this meeting focused on the school's activity and financial reports, as well as the presentation of an action plan to improve the quality of education. President Guiro addressed the school's major concerns, including discipline, student attendance, working conditions, and collaboration between parents and administration. He also highlighted the shortage of textbooks in some subjects.
During the session, the Secretary-General, Sayouba Ou©draogo, presented a detailed action plan focused on thirteen key areas, aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning, the school climate, and the school environment. The issues addressed included insufficient textbooks, school dropout and lateness, water problems and recurring electrical outages, as well as difficulties in providing first aid to students and in the overall functioning of the school.
The assembly proposed solutions which included strengthening educational monitoring, improving communication with parents, and community mobilization to support the institution.
