Yatenga/Education: The new provincial director calls on stakeholders to meet the challenges


The High Commissioner of the Yatenga province, Tasséré Nacoulma, proceeded this Wednesday, September 13, 2023 to the installation of the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Yatenga (DPEPPNF), by Salam Ouédraogo. The solemn ceremony was attended by the provincial bodies, stakeholders from the educational world and education partners in Yatenga.



The High Commissioner of Yatenga, Tasséré Nacoulma, officially installed Salam Ouédraogo as provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education.



Appointed by the Council of Ministers on August 30, 2023, the inspector of primary education, Salam Ouédraogo, replaces in this position the inspector, Maxime Yaro, who spent four (04) years at the helm of the DPEPPNF of Yatenga.



In his speech, Mr. Ouédraogo thanked the head of the department in charge of education for the trust placed in him to meet the challenges of education in Yatenga.



He reassured his colleagues of his complete availability to work in a synergy of actions for the accomplishment and success of his mission.



In view of the difficult context of the moment, Salam Ouédraogo, launched an appeal to local authorities, supervisors, parents of students, social partners to make more efforts and sacrifices in order to help the majority of students who abandoned classes at return to school in this 2023-2024 school year.



The outgoing provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Yatenga (DPEPPNF), Maxime Yaro, took stock of the actions that his service has carried out in several areas of the education sector.



On behalf of the staff, Seydou Keïta, wished their former boss a good career.



Mr. Keïta stressed that under his leadership the staff had fun taking on the challenges with him and increasing the success rate in primary education exams.



He reassured the incoming director of the availability and commitment of all to continue the fight against illiteracy and ignorance despite the difficult security context.
