Ouagadougou: The Yaadga Regional Employers’ Council offers a generator to the Yako health district. The regional employers’ council of the Yaadga region offered on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in Yako, a generator worth approximately 40 million FCFA, with a power of 150 KVA, to the Yako health district.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony was chaired by the Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yamba, who was accompanied by a large delegation of donor representatives. With an estimated total cost of around 40 million CFA francs, including a maintenance contract estimated at 250 hours of use and a 12-month warranty, the generator will, according to the Chief Medical Officer of the Yako Health District (MCD), Dr. Ousseni Sawadogo, alleviate the multiple breakdowns due to lack of energy in the operating theater, the maternity ward and the medical imaging department of the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA).
The High Commissioner of Passore and President of the Provincial Health Council of the Yako Health District, Daouda Sangare, explained that the installation of the generator will contribute to improving the working conditions of professionals in the district and those of patients who will benefit from faster, safer and more efficient care. The provincial authority, on behalf of the local bodies, expressed its gratitude to the donor and to the governor of the Yaadga region.
The representative of the president of the Yaadga regional employers’ council, Marie Rose Sanou/Ouedraogo, suggested that the objective of this donation is to reduce the various difficulties linked to a lack of energy in the district and to provide quality healthcare to the people of Passore. The donation is part of the implementation of the intervention program of the president of the regional council of the Yaadga Patronage, El hadji Mahamadi Ouedraogo known as “Imam” in the field of health and education in the region.
The governor of the Yaadga region said that this gesture is in line with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, through the implementation of a health strategy for all health structures in the country. Mr. Yampa urged the health authorities of the Yaadga region to ensure the proper use of the equipment in order to ensure the continuity of clinical and technical care within the CMA for the benefit of the population of Passore.
