Naba kango: The Yaadga Regional Consultation Framework (CCR) convened for its second ordinary session of the year 2025 in Naba Kango. This gathering, observed by AIB, brought together statutory members and development partners from northern Burkina Faso under the leadership of the Yaadga Regional Secretary General, Kouiliga Albert Zongo, who represented the governor. The primary aim was to enhance coordination and foster synergy among stakeholders in the Yaadga region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session began with an address from the Regional Secretary General, who acknowledged the significant participation of stakeholders and encouraged them to develop concrete solutions for the region's development. Sibiri Gregoire Ouedraogo of the Regional Directorate of Economy and Planning (DREP) presented the first topic, focusing on the Community Project for Recovery and Stabilization of the Sahel (PCRSS). This initiative, a collaboration between the Burkinabe government and the World Bank, addresses challenges related to security, food insecurity, and climate change from 2023 to 2025.
Resilience projects were implemented in various sectors within beneficiary communities under the PCRSS. Diane Ouedraogo presented the second topic on the Sahel Ecosystem Resilience and Women's Leadership Project (REELS), highlighting the project's goal to empower women, enhance resilience, and increase women's influence in environmental decision-making bodies.
The final presentation, delivered by Ousseni Naoule from the regional trade directorate, addressed market infrastructure development in the Yaadga region. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing markets that adhere to hygiene, safety, and customer traffic standards. The session concluded with the Regional Secretary General expressing gratitude to the partners involved, much to the satisfaction of the statutory members present.
