Yaadga Celebrates Educational Excellence with Awards for 145 Education Stakeholders


Yaadga: Under the banner of resilience and the promotion of educational reforms, the Regional Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of Yaadga held the 2025 edition of academic excellence on Saturday, November 15, awarding prizes to 145 distinguished actors.



According to Burkina Information Agency, 145 education stakeholders in the Yaadga region, including 67 students and learners, 65 teachers, educators, facilitators and office staff, and 13 school and educational structures, received cash and in-kind rewards. The regional director of primary education in Yaadga, Pascal Wango, emphasized the importance of celebrating those who tirelessly work for the advancement of education after nine years since the first edition of this event.



Pascal Wango addressed the award winners by saying, “You are the faces of success, and the ambassadors of a resilient youth.” This sentiment was echoed by the Minister in charge of Education, represented by the Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, who praised the day of excellence as a testament to the successful implementation of educational reforms in the region.



Designated as the region’s top teacher, Boureima Ouedraogo expressed gratitude to the initiators of the recognition, viewing it as an invitation for all educators to strive for excellence. Sidi Mahamadi Bangrin Ouedraogo, representing the sponsors, highlighted the ceremony as a celebration of the resilience of education in Yaadga, emphasizing the community’s unwavering commitment to education despite adversities.



The celebration of excellence in Yaadga was attended by prominent figures, including the Secretary General of the Presidency of Faso, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Basic Education, Directors General of services, economic operators, civil society leaders, and members of the educational community from the region.
