Ramongo: The "Yaa Soma" association has provided vital support to the Bayandi-Paologo public primary school by donating desks, benches, and solar lamps to its students. This initiative took place on Thursday, May 7, and aims to enhance the learning environment as students prepare for the important Primary School Certificate (CEP) exams.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the educational community in the commune of Ramongo welcomed the donation with optimism. The president of the "Yaa Soma" association, Gilbert Kabore, officially handed over 20 desks and benches, along with 20 solar lamps, targeting the most disadvantaged students. This contribution is expected to improve the educational experience significantly, as solar lighting will enable students to study after dark and the new benches will address the shortage of seating.
Parents expressed relief and joy, noting that the new resources have improved the conditions for their children. Emmanuel Zoma, the director of the school, voiced his gratitude, acknowledging that this was not the first time the association had extended its support. He emphasized that the equipment would be well-maintained and that it addressed a pressing need for the school.
Wendtenda Paul Marie Zoma, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB), commended the initiative for its positive impact and expressed hope that the partnership between "Yaa Soma" and the educational community would expand to other schools in the Ramongo area.
Gilbert Kabore reiterated the association's commitment to enhancing educational quality, urging students to maintain discipline and perseverance. He highlighted the association's mission to assist the government in improving educational environments in rural regions.
In gratitude, the students applauded and pledged to work hard to achieve excellent results, aiming to honor the trust placed in them by their benefactors. This act of solidarity underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between government and civil society organizations in advancing Burkinabe education.
