BEIJING – In a pivotal meeting on Saturday, President Xi Jinping highlighted the significance of continuous improvement and effective management of the system of people’s congresses, marking the 70th founding anniversary of the National People’s Congress.

According to Namibia Press Agency, President Xi, who also holds positions as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, underlined the necessity to solidify confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The emphasis was placed during a celebratory event recognizing the decades-long evolution and impact of China’s fundamental political system.
