Xi Jinping Congratulates China Zhi Gong Party on Centennial Anniversary

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended his congratulations to the China Zhi Gong Party on the occasion of its 100th founding anniversary. In a message delivered on Friday, Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of the China Zhi Gong Party's role in uniting overseas Chinese communities, returned overseas nationals, and Chinese students abroad. He encouraged these groups to actively contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Xi highlighted the historical significance of the China Zhi Gong Party, which stands as the earliest-founded among China's eight non-Communist parties. Throughout its history, the party has aligned itself with the CPC, offering valuable insights and support in China's historical journey towards independence, liberation, and prosperity. Xi expressed his hopes for the party to uphold its mission of cooperation, continuing to engage overseas Chinese and their families in efforts towards national reunification.

The China Zhi Gong Party, established in San Francisco, United States, in October 1925, primarily consists of returned overseas Chinese, their relatives from the middle and upper social strata, and other prominent individuals with overseas connections. A centenary conference was held in Beijing to commemorate the party's founding. During this event, Xi's congratulatory message was read by Li Ganjie, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The conference saw participation from Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Wang addressed the gathering, urging the China Zhi Gong Party to continue contributing its insights to the governance and administrative processes of the state. He also called on the party to foster unity among Chinese people globally and to play a significant role in promoting national reunification, thus creating a favorable international environment for China.
