Baoji, China—Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, recently conducted field inspections in Baoji, Shaanxi Province, and Tianshui, Gansu Province, focusing on cultural preservation and ecological conservation.
According to the Namibia Press Agency, Xi’s visit spanned from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning, beginning in Baoji where he explored the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum and an ecological park along the Weihe River. These visits highlighted the local initiatives aimed at protecting cultural relics and maintaining the ecological balance of the Weihe River, the largest tributary of the Yellow River.
In Tianshui, Xi’s itinerary included stops at the Fuxi Temple, dedicated to Fuxi, a mythical ancestor of the Chinese nation, a local apple production base, and the Maijishan Grottoes. His visits were centered on learning about the efforts to preserve local cultural heritage and to foster the development of the specialty fruit industry in the region’s mountainous areas, illustrating a commitment to integrating cultural preservation with economic development.
