World Champion Hugues Fabrice Zango Earns Doctorate in Electrical Engineering at University of Artois


Béthune, France – Hugues Fabrice Zango, the world-renowned Burkinabè triple jumper, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis in electrical engineering at the University of Artois, as announced on his Facebook page. This academic achievement comes just four months after he clinched the world champion title.



According to Burkina Information Agency, his thesis was titled “High-performance electric machine with external rotor for application in severe environments.” He described the journey to his doctorate as an intellectual, human, and social experience filled with uncertainties, sleepless nights, and challenges. This accomplishment represents the culmination of years of dedication, balancing rigorous academic research with intensive athletic training and competition.



Zango took the opportunity to express gratitude to those who supported him throughout his journey.
