Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis met today Friday, December 10, 2021, with representatives of Swedish companies operating in Greece, in the presence of the Secretary General for International Economic Relations, Ioannis Smyrlis.
The meeting took place at the residence of the Swedish Ambassador to Athens, with the participation of representatives of 27 Swedish companies with many years of presence and activity in Greece – indicatively, Ericson, H&M, SAS, Ikea, Volvo – as well as members of the Board of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce which is the 6th largest bilateral chamber of commerce in Greece.
Deputy Minister, Mr. Fragogiannis pointed out the added value of Swedish companies for the Greek economy, given that Sweden is at the forefront of innovation and technology and he expressed the willingness of the Greek state to further strengthen cooperation and attract Swedish investment to Greece.
In the context of strengthening bilateral cooperation, the representatives of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber announced the opening of a branch in Sweden, which has already attracted a vivid interest.
