Zondoma: The Tougo Women's Communal Coordination organized an awareness session on entrepreneurship and female leadership in Tougo, aligning with the commemoration of International Women's Day. The initiative aimed to bolster the economic empowerment of women in the community and enhance their active participation in local development efforts.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship, effective management of income-generating activities, and women's leadership. Relwind© C©cile Ou©draogo/Belem, the community coordinator for women in Tougo, highlighted the session as a motivational and educational platform for the community's women. She stressed that entrepreneurship and leadership are vital for improving household conditions and enhancing women's roles in the area's development. She urged participants to apply their newly gained insights to better organize and expand their economic activities.
Participants appreciated the initiative, noting its practical guidance for managing small businesses. Libata H©l¨ne Ou©draogo, who sells dolo, mentioned that she previously managed her business without proper expense tracking. The awareness campaign enlightened her on the value of good management, prompting her to plan for better business organization.
The meeting provided a forum for women to share challenges in business operations and exchange organizational and management experiences. Through this effort, the Tougo Women's Community Coordination aims to promote women's entrepreneurship and reinforce their role in the community's socio-economic development.
