OSHAKATI: A 19-year-old woman in Ongwediva, Oshana Region, fell victim to rape and robbery in a home invasion incident. Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, Community Affairs Officer for the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the region, reported that the assault occurred in the early hours of Thursday.

According to The Namibia Press Agency, The suspect, a 20-year-old man, allegedly broke into the victim’s home, restrained her, and committed the rape. He also stole N.dollars 20 and damaged a cellphone worth N.dollars 2,500. The suspect has been arrested, and the stolen phone was recovered. NamPol continues to investigate the incident.
