Woman Hospitalised After Jumping From Moving Vehicle at Nankundu

Nankundu: A 56-year-old woman has been admitted at Nankudu Hospital in the Kavango West Region after she allegedly jumped from a moving vehicle and fell onto the B10 road at Nambi Village on Tuesday, sustaining serious injuries.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga of the Namibian Police Force in the region confirmed the incident, saying that it occurred at around 07h45. It is alleged that the driver, a licensed Namibian male, was driving a pickup truck from Mutengo Village to Nankudu Village in a convoy to pick up a police officer from the hospital for a burial, when the victim, who was in the loading box, unexpectedly jumped out.

Muronga added that the victim sustained injuries to her face, knees, feet, arms, right breast, and hands. She remains hospitalised at Nankudu Hospital and is in a serious condition. Investigations into the matter continue.
