A 38-year-old accused, Richard Breeches made a brief appearance before Kuruman Regional Court today, 3 August 2023 for failure to appear in court.

The accused who is attached to Border Control Management at Onseepkans was subpoenaed to appear before Kuruman Regional Court on Tuesday, 18 July 2023 as a witness on a matter which relates to illegal dealing in endangered species. He failed to honor the court’s order as a result, a warrant of arrest was issued against him.

Breeches was released on warning and the matter against him was remanded to 8 September 2023.
