KAPENGURIA: West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has urged local leaders to prioritize unity and peace over divisive politics as the region heads into the year 2025. Emphasizing the importance of integrity and commitment, Kachapin highlighted that these values are essential for effectively serving area residents and ensuring their welfare.
According to Kenya News Agency, Governor Kachapin, in his New Year message, implored Members of the County Assembly to collaborate with the County Executive to achieve substantial development in West Pokot. He reminded the leaders that when he was elected governor in 2022, he made a commitment to focus on development rather than political disputes.
Kachapin reiterated his pledge to unite leaders from all political affiliations within the county. He emphasized fostering a spirit of collaboration that prioritizes communal interests over personal gain, aiming to create a harmonious environment conducive to growth and progress.
