OUAGADOUGOU — The 6th edition of the West African Mining Activities Week (SAMAO) is set to be held in Ouagadougou from September 26 to 28, 2024, the Burkinabè government announced on Wednesday.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event will create significant business opportunities for stakeholders in the mining industry across Africa, with a particular focus on Burkina Faso. The exhibition is expected to attract investors and support the sustainable development of the mining and quarrying sector. This year's SAMAO will focus on the theme “Critical Minerals: What Development Strategies for African Countries?”
The event will serve as a platform to discuss strategies for leveraging critical minerals in the continent's development.
